To The Knollwood Baptist Church Family
I hope and pray all is well with you and your family and that as we continue through this period of global pandemic, if you should have any needs that we as a church can help you with that you will let us know.
Last Sunday, Knollwood Baptist Church celebrated our 79th anniversary and although we were not able to meet in person, I am sure each of us celebrated the work that God has done through Knollwood during the last 79 years.
It was announced last Sunday that the leadership had decided that an upgrade in our technical capabilities was necessary, made apparent by the recent event of having to close the church and do all things on-line, and that the church was embarking on a year-long campaign to raise funds to cover the expense of the upgrade.
At our Deacon’s board meeting last night, we as the leadership of the church discussed this program and came up with the following decision. We realize that families in our congregation may be facing financial difficulties at this time due to the COVID-19 situation and that starting such a campaign may put additional stress on some families. In light of the current situation, we have decided to postpone the start of this campaign until the start of the fall season. This is not to say that we will not continue to work on the upgrade but the fund raising portion of this campaign will now start at a later date.
We know that God has provided for our needs in the past and we are confident that He will continue to provide for all our needs going forward. Please continue to pray for our 80th anniversary campaign and look forward in anticipation when we will celebrate this time next year at all the blessings God has rained down upon Knollwood. Thank you for your continued support and prayers for the church and the leadership, we feel truly uplifted by all of you and please know that we continue to pray for you as well.
In His service,
Chairman of the Deacons' Board
