Calling All Members of KBC…. Meeting...TODAY! In May 2018, Matthew Freele joined Knollwood Baptist Church as Worship and Family ministry director under a one year contract. His one year contract is coming quickly to an end. On the recommendation of our Lead Pastor, Pastor Nathan   Klahsen and with the full support of the Deacons Board we would like to propose that we bring Matthew Freele on full time as our Associate Pastor. A special Members meeting will be held following the service this morning to discuss and vote on the following motion brought forth from the Deacons board. “The Deacons Board hereby motions that Matthew Freele be brought on as a full time, regular employee of Knollwood Baptist Church in the position of Associate Pastor, effective May 1, 2019.”  

Easter Special Offering This is the time of year when we specifically reflect upon the resurrection of our     Saviour. We are encouraging everyone to give to our special Easter offering on April 21st that will go towards the continuing upgrades to our facility and to a   Pastor of Care. Consider giving above and beyond your regular giving and mark your envelope “Special offering”.   

Good Friday Service April 19th at 10 am KBC will be joining with Compass Community Church, 345 Pond Mills Rd for a Good Friday service to celebrate Easter. This is a good time to invite your family and friends to hear about what Easter is all about.  

Office Closed Our church office will be closed this Friday, April 19th for the Good Friday and Easter Monday.  May you all have a great holiday weekend!  

2019 Church Directories The new 2019 church directories are now in your mail slot. Make sure you take yours home today. If there are any discrepancies with your information in the    directory, contact Karen during office hours.  

Baptism Class Have you publically proclaimed your faith in Jesus Christ? Have you followed in obedience by being baptized? Wondering what in the world baptism is?  Need a   refresher?  Sign up today at knollwood.ca/baptism for our next classes which will be held on Thursday April 18th & 25 at 7:00 pm.   

New Sermon Series Pastor Nathan will be starting a new series called “The Minor Prophets” on April 28th. Prepare your hearts to hear what Pastor Nathan has to share with us in the coming weeks.  

Knollwood Income Tax Clinic Community Volunteer Income Tax Clinic are held on Saturday mornings during April from 9 am to 12 noon. The clinics are free to those with a modest income and a simple tax situation. For more information, contact Kevin Knight, [email protected]  Come out and meet our neighbors who are having their taxes done while they wait and have a coffee/tea/hot chocolate with them and invite them back for a Sunday service.  

Volunteers Needed for Lawn Cutting Anyone who is willing to help out this summer to cut lawn at the church are invited to sign up at the Welcome Desk or talk/contact Kenneth Lapp at 519-663-8239 or [email protected] Volunteers will be assigned to a team and will cut grass based upon a rotating schedule.  

Christianity Explored What is the best news you’ve heard? We all get one life to live and deep down we are all asking the same questions—what’s it all about? Join with us for a 7 week class as we look at who Jesus is, why did Jesus come and what does it mean for us. Sign up and bring a friend. Class begins on May 5th starting at 6 pm in the new café!  

Membership Applicant Jennifer Selby has applied for church membership and she was interviewed by the  deacons. If you have questions or concerns, please talk to the deacons.   To Give Away We are offering to give away two tall tables that are no longer need in the church. If you are interested in one, they can be viewed in the spare office.  

London Clean & Green Spring is here and the winter garbage is everywhere! Now it’s time to make our   neighborhood ‘Clean & Green’! Join with others for our annual clean up of Huron Heights Park on Cheapside between Boullee and McNay Streets on April 27th. We will meet in the church parking at 10 am and then head down to the park.  Dress for the weather and bring work gloves.
