OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Thank you, Knollwood Family, for packing more than 30 Operation Christmas Child boxes this year.  Thank you to the Nexus Youth and Pastor Matt for packing over 70 boxes.  Our total number of boxes was 107!  Many thanks to Lisa Lapp for all her hard work organizing this project.

CHRISTMAS HAMPERS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED

Our Knollwood Family has stepped up in a big way!  Many of you signed up to bring items for the Christmas hampers.  There are only a few items that are still needed. Please bring in your non-perishable items any time before Sunday December 13.  Fresh produce should be brought in Dec. 6 or Dec. 13.

Contact Linda Luckas if you would still like to help.

FAMILY ZONE — AN ALTERNATIVE TO NURSERY

Calling all families who are missing Church Nursery!  Until we are able to offer a nursery program for our littlest church family members, why not check out our Family Zone!  We have created a comfortable place for parents and their young children in the cafe corner.  Kids can play while parents watch and listen to the service through the windows in the lobby.  Please bring your own books and toys. Drinking and snacking are not encouraged.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY UPDATES

We are running a slightly shorter children's program for JK-Gr 5.  Children sit with their families until they are dismissed before the preaching portion of our service.

Our safety precautions include holding it outside (weather permitting), keeping physicially distanced, providing masks and hand sanitizer, and making sure surfaces are cleaned.

If you are unable to attend, we will continue to provide the lesson video and activity sheets on our website, as well as our Family Worship teaching through our live service. (See below).

At this time, we are still unable to supply regular nursery services but hope to safely do so in the future.

FAMILY WORSHIP — FROM THE NEW CITY CATECHISM

Question 13: Did God create us unable to keep his law?

Answer:  No, but because of the disobedience of our first parents, Adam and Eve, all of creation is fallen; we are all born in sin and guilt, corrupt in our nature and unable to keep God’s law.

Children's Answer: No, but because of the disobedience of Adam and Eve we are all born in sin and guilt, unable to keep God’s law.

Romans 5:12   Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.
