As leadership, we met at our last meeting to pray for ourselves, for each other, and for the church that God has entrusted to us. We spent time in God's Word as we walked and prayed through Psalm 85 ending with a simple question: What would it look like if God revived us? What would it look like in our lives, in our families, in our church family, workplace, and community if we had a hunger for the Bible, if we were thankful, that there would be Gospel growth, that we would seek after holiness, and that we would be united on the Gospel?
We discussed many things including the budget for 2020 that we as a family will be voting on December 15 at our Members Meeting. Another subject we discussed and passed was to bring into our own churches policy the FEB Policy Statement on Marriage and Human Sexuality. In short, the policy states that: "The term “marriage” is reserved for the formalized covenant relationship between one man and one woman who commit themselves through legal declaration to exclusive, intimate companionship and sexual union with the intention of permanence. Marriage is monogamous, heterosexual, and intended for life." If you wish to read it more fully below.
