Worship Class Sunday evenings at 6 pm. This six week class focuses on the essentials of God- honoring worship, combining biblical foundations with practical application in a way that works in the real world. Martha’s Ministry We would like to give a big thank you to all who shared their time the past few months setting up/cleaning up the Café each Sunday. As we look to the next few months, we would like to continue to share the opportunity to serve our Knollwood family. If you would like to set-up or clean-up one Sunday, or if a few of you would like to bake/bring special treats for after service, come talk to Beth Knight or Colleen Walters and we will include you in our schedule.
Membership Applicants Mike and Heather Clarkson have applied for church membership and had successfully completed the membership class. They were interviewed by our deacons and were approved. If you have any questions regarding the applicants, please contact one of the deacons.
Kids Church Volunteers Needed The Kids Church ministry teams are in need of some more help! Please prayerfully consider becoming a part of the team as we continue to teach and share the Gospel with the kids God has blessed us with. Knollwood has adopted Huron Heights Park as well as the portion of Cheapside be- tween Boullee and McNay, as a ministry to our community. A fall clean up will take place on Saturday, October 5 at 9 am. If you are interested in helping, meet at the north side of the park on Victoria drive. Opportunity to be an Usher We are looking for volunteers who are willing to serve on the team of ushers. Ushers are on for a full month, every other month and must have a police check in order to serve. Contact Wayne Amos to know more about ushering at [email protected]
Nexus Youth Group Fall program for the Nexus youth group meets every Tuesdays at 6:30 pm for teens who are in grade 6-12. Connect with Matt Freele if you have questions regarding our youth group.
Adult Volleyball Volleyball happens every Friday at 7 pm. This is for adults and young adults who are in high school to play volleyball for a couple of hours. Any questions? See Jeff Freele.
Coming to Knollwood - Valuing our Past—Saturday October 26th, 6:30—9:00 pm Michael A.G. Haykin is professor of church history and biblical spirituality at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where he also serves as director of The Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies. On Saturday October 26th, here at Knollwood, he will be presenting ‘Valuing our Past’:
6:30—7:30 pm “Why read church history; seven reasons”
8:00—9:00 pm “Being evangelical; a brief history”
