Here's just a quick couple of thoughts for this new week as we enter into another week of announcements and a little bit of uncertainty. I was reminded on Sunday about how uncertain the future is and how we just simply don't know what the future is. As we're trying to have a live stream and the power goes out and therefore our live stream goes out and here we are stuck going, what do we do now? We don't know the future and I was even reminded about that talking with my neighbours about how this world that we live in does not know what is happening. There is so much uncertainty but as we were reminded about on this past Sunday from II Chronicles 20, we see that Jehosaphat and the people of Judah are faced with this reality of uncertainty of the unknown. They begin to seek the face of God through prayer and through fasting and as Jehosaphat had brought his people through that that he ends his prayer in verse 12 with saying, "For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us."

He is unable to fix the situation that they find themselves in, but then he continues on. He says, "We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you." So my encouragement to you and to me is that we would be a people that continue to seek Christ during this time, who is the author and the finisher of our faith, who is the one who created all the things that we see around us, who is sovereign, who is in control. Let us be those people. Let us continue to encourage one another to seek the face of God as we pick up the phone and call one another. I've been so encouraged to hear about how the Knollwood family has been calling each other. Let us in those calls, remind each other of who God is during these uncertain times. I mean, we'd be a people who do that, but may we also be a people who are shining brightly because we have the gospel.

We have this assurance that other people don't have, that Christ has died for our sins. We have repented of our sin and believed in the gospel. We have certainty in an uncertain world. We have the ability to seek the face of God during this time to encourage one another in that, but we also have this ability and opportunity to go and share that with our neighbours. I was watching a video that was on FEB Central's Facebook page reminding us, reminding me of how I can reach out into my neighbours and be able to share the good news of Jesus Christ or in this amazing unique time that we have in our history. So let us be that people. Let us continue to pray that we would seek the face of God during uncertain times, knowing that we can walk with a God who is known in a time that is unknown.

Let us also be a people that proclaim to our neighbours and to our friends and family who do not know the God who can be known, who have no assurance and do not believe in the gospel that Christ has died for our sins. Let us also be a people that tell people about the good news of Jesus Christ and that even in these uncertain times, there is a God who is in control. Let us again be that people. Let us be a people that say knowingly, we do not know what to do. We do not know what's going on, but let us also be those people that keep our eyes on God.
