Anger and Reconciliation | Matthew 5:21-26

In Matthew 5:21–26, Jesus confronts the heart behind anger and reveals that unresolved anger is not a small issue but a serious matter before God. Moving beyond outward obedience, Jesus exposes how anger, bitterness, and contempt fracture relationships and distort our witness as His people.
In this sermon, we explore how Jesus calls His followers to be people of reconciliation—those who pursue peace, humility, and restored relationships rather than justification and self-righteousness. This passage challenges us to examine our hearts, take responsibility for our sin, and actively seek reconciliation with others.
Ultimately, this message points us to the gospel, reminding us that we pursue reconciliation because God has first reconciled us to Himself through Christ.
