Jesus Casts out Demons | Matthew 8:28-34

In Matthew 8:28–34, Jesus confronts evil directly — and evil obeys. Demons recognize His identity and submit to His authority with a single word.

Yet when the townspeople witness His power and the transformation He brings, they beg Him to leave.

Why?

Because Jesus’ authority can threaten what we value most.

This sermon explores the sobering reality that it is possible to see Jesus’ power and still resist Him. It challenges us to examine where fear, comfort, or control may be keeping us from full surrender to King Jesus.
