What does it really mean to listen to Jesus?

In Matthew 17, the Father declares from heaven, “This is my beloved Son… listen to Him.” But listening to Jesus is far more than hearing His words—it means trusting Him, depending on Him, embracing the path of the cross, and following Him in humble obedience.
